Hummus is one of my favourite foods and it's so quick and versatile - I love experimenting with different flavour variations. The addition of fresh turmeric adds so much delicious flavour, plus turmeric is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties to help support your immune system.

Ingredients

1 tin chickpeas (drained and rinsed)⠀⠀

3 heaped tbsp tahini⠀⠀

Juice of 1 whole lemon⠀⠀

4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil⠀⠀

1 tsp sea salt⠀⠀

2 garlic cloves, crushed⠀⠀

2 tbsp fresh turmeric

¼ tsp paprika⠀⠀

¼ tsp black pepper

Splash of water, to blend

Method

  • Add the tahini and lemon juice to a food processor and blend to create a fluffy texture.
  • Scrape down the sides and add in the rest of your ingredients except the chickpeas. Blend well.
  • Add the chickpeas and blend until completely smooth, scraping down the sides a few times.
  • Transfer to a bowl and garnish with a handful of chickpeas, a sprinkle of paprika and a drizzle of olive oil.

Enjoy!
