Here are Vitl’s top festival tips to stay feeling good on the inside and looking fab on the outside

Keep your energy going

Wouldn’t it be great if there were natural, healthy ways to fuel your party feet?! Well, you’re in luck! B vitamins fuel your energy production so taking a shot of these from a natural source such as leafy greens, eggs, milk, beef, legumes such as chickpeas and beans, maca root can keep you going1. Green tea provides a slow release of caffeine for a sustained energy boost. Green tea also assists liver detoxification and gives you a high dose of antioxidants.

Eat the right food

The food at festivals is always tempting, but be careful of what you decide to fuel your body with. Avoid foods that will make you sluggish, tired and bloated, such as fatty, fried and ultra-processed meals. Don’t forget to include a healthy amount of vegetables and proteins that will sustain the fun all day long.

Protect your skin (throughout the day!)

Even in the relatively weak UK sun, it’s important to look after your skin and protect against harmful rays when you are spending the whole day outside. Don’t forget to take a safe, mineral only, broad-spectrum (UVA and UVB) sunscreen with you for sun protection.

Essentials to pack

Camping in a field with lots of background noise doesn’t make it easy to get your beauty sleep. Pack earplugs, an eye mask and some lavender oil to help you relax into slumber. It is also important to bring 100% all-natural aloe vera (without alcohol in the ingredients) for that burn you may get after forgetting to reapply your sunscreen. Investing in some no-nasties, biodegradable wet wipes and an aluminium free deodorant is also helpful to stay fresh throughout the festival.

After taking care of your health on the outside, make sure you take care of your health from the inside. It can be hard to manage your nutrition while away from home, let alone at a festival. Don’t forget to pack your personalised Essential One multivitamin to continuously give nutritional support throughout the fun.

Hydration = priority

Hydration can keep you from hitting a wall and experiencing dizziness, dry mouth, thirst, headaches, and sleepiness. Always carry a water bottle and make sure it is never empty for longer than it takes you to head to a refill station.

If you become dehydrated, replenishing is key, and not just with water but electrolytes too. Using a water supplement can add the salts you need such as calcium, potassium and magnesium, as well as supporting your liver detoxification pathways with its turmeric, green leafy vegetables and antioxidants.

Take advantage of festival wellness benefits!

Head to the wellbeing area, most festivals provide yoga classes, meditation, even outdoor spas, fitness and lake swimming. As wellness is integrating into our everyday lives, festival organisers respond providing more opportunities for nourishing your body inside and out.
