When should I take them?

We recommend taking your vitamins earlier in the day, as they are specifically formulated to help with energy levels to give you that extra spring in your step throughout the day. If you don't tend to have a big breakfast then we'd recommend you take them with your lunch. This also applies to our tranquillity capsule which is designed to help you soothe the nerves, de-stress and have a more restful night.

How should I take them?

All food supplements should be taken on a full stomach, ideally with or after your main meal of the day, as this will help your body’s ability to absorb the nutrients. Avoid taking with caffeine as this can prevent absorption and increase excretion. If your recommendation contains iron, be mindful not to take it with milk, cheese or yoghurt, as dairy contains calcium, an inhibitor of iron absorption. Instead, take your iron supplement with your lunch, or with a glass of orange juice an hour after your dairy-containing meal. This is because ascorbic acid (vitamin C), found in citrus fruit, promotes iron absorption.

How can I remember to take them?

A good way to remember to take your vitamins is to put them right next to your breakfast ingredients, e.g. next to your oats, nuts, cereal or by your fridge. You can also set a daily reminder using your Vitl app or an alarm on your phone!
