We want to reassure you that this is totally normal and that you’ll notice the taste will improve as you get used to it and of course hopefully notice the benefit of taking your personalised vitamins!
We are very particular about not using any preservatives, flavourings, sweeteners, sugars or any ingredients that are not strictly necessary to have in your supplements. By striving to not include these, the taste isn’t masked. Taking vitamins on an empty stomach may also cause burping, and we recommend taking them with your first substantial meal to help prevent this.
Certain nutrients may have a stronger smell than others, like B vitamins or selenium. Most B vitamins are involved in normal energy release from food, reduction of tiredness and fatigue and normal cognitive and psychological function. Selenium is a powerful antioxidant, known to support normal immune and thyroid function, as well as healthy hair. Our mission is to make sure we deliver those nutrients in the most pure, natural way possible. Why overload your body with unnecessary artificial colourings or sweeteners, when you can get all the benefits you need straight from the purest source?
If you still find that you cannot handle the smell or taste of your vitamins, we recommend opening the capsules and sprinkling their contents in your breakfast or smoothie. Just make sure to properly empty the contents so that you don’t miss any of the goodness! (Please don’t attempt this with our soft gels! I.e omega 3 pill as you may have a hard time.)
Don’t forget consistency is key with vitamins, so keep at it!
